In The Candlelight

The candelabra upon the night table,
In your chamber, scented with violets,
Gives off auriferous glows.

Your soft gaze of sable,
As the summer sun sets,
Finds us where a zephyr flows;

For the open sashes
Receive the gentle gale,
As your eyes and their lovely lashes
With the nascent moon prevail.
